This seamless, cosy, twined cowl starts off with a provisional cast on and ends with some grafting. Knit flat, the organic staghorn cables make this the perfect project for learning to cable without a cable needle.
I used roughly 1.5 balls of Cocoon to make the sample shown; you could make a single loop version with just one ball.
Curvy Cables Vest Top
Perfect summer top? Or beautiful transition garment? This vest top does summer and autumn equally well.
I fell in love with this ‘Hugs & Kisses’ cable, running up the side seams of the top, then added a few other sweet details – a vented hem and some cabled i-cord detailing, along with some tailored waist shaping for a slimming fit.
This top uses Malabrigo Lace, held double. You could also substitute a 4ply if you wanted. Simply halve your yardage.
You’ll have this simple cowl done in a jiffy…. a snuggle for your neck.
Knit it up in 3-4 hours, the perfect quick knit for emergency gift giving. It’s the lush wools that really make it I think – one can never go wrong with a bit of mohair and silk. Makes in two skeins of chunky wool.
It’s reversible too, although the sides are fraternal rather than identical twins.
A simple, fun knit – this is the perfect top for some cute buttons!
Featuring an easy-to-memorise lace pattern (perfect for beginners), this top is designed to fit with 0-2” ease. Length is easily adjusted to suit your taste. Armholes are shaped using sloping decreases, rather than the usual cast off method. Garter stitch frames all around create stability. Available in single colour and striped versions.
Sizes available: 30” – 62” bust (at 4” intervals)
Mine, all Mine
Make it all your own!
What could be better than a personalized knitting bag? This pattern comes with ready-made charts for the beautiful design shown in the picture, but also personalisable charts and a knitted font so you can add your own favourite quote, or design your own colourwork pattern!
Knitted mostly in the round and featuring stabilizing i-cord detailing, this bag will not bend and bow with your knitting but hold your favourite needles and project-on-the-go with ease. Good for a bit of colourplay – it also makes a great purse, or so I’m told by my more fashionable friends.
